On Thursday, the 13th of August, Sassquatch will be involved in an exciting art exhibition as well as launching a brand new video-rock project, Vampire 9000.

City Slickers is the name of the upcoming exhibition taking place in Pretoria at +27 gallery on the 13th of August, traveling to Durban at the end of October.The aim of the exhibition is to make people aware of the incredible illustrationdesign talent we have in South Africa, as well as exposing some great international talents, from across our borders.

The approach of the exhibition is one of a light-hearted nature, geared towards making art for everyone to enjoy. The works thus explore the theme city in a new manner, translating each artists perception onto an A3 print, which will each be sold in an edition of 3.

Sassquatch will be exhibiting a new illustrated artwork for the exhibition, as well as a collaborative piece done with Pretoria artist Maaike Bakker under the name Superhands.

Other than showing these static images, Sassquatch will be playing an a set of moving images for the debut performance of Vampire 9000.
Comprised of Henre Malherbe on drums, Sassquatch on video-keytar and Christian Henn on looped electric guitar, sampler and synthesisers, the band are looking forward to unveiling their happy-horror-math-rock creation at City Slickers.
